{travel} My shortest trip ever

Last weekend I have been to Manila again to visit my bf, and the trip is just 2D1N! I was working in my previous new job while booking this flight, so the trip is that short.

When I checked in, the staff was surprised:”Oh day trip”.

The girl sitting next to me on plane was surprised as well, and said the story of me and my bf is romantic (Hump you are not the 1st one said it).

Although the flight took 2 hours, we drove 4-5 hours from Manila to Morong, Pawikan Beach Resort, to join his aunt’s birthday party. That’s my 1st time to meet the uncle who has been shown many times from bf’s selfies. I could tell what I did in the future post.

The place is beautiful, it’s a place to educate people how to save / important of turtle’s life. You can also book a room there for a night, seems 2000peso per room.

Anyway, time flies, we woke up at 6am and swam a bit (I almost lost my glasses which was flushed by a sudden wave!) then drove back to Manila for another 4-5 hours.

My sister and some friends thought I was crazy because the trip is too short, what I could do in this limited time, but this trip could really bring memory to me because this’s the 1st time of:

1. Swim in Philippines’ sea

2. Meet his relatives

3. He drove me to airport (Previously I didnt depart on Sunday so will call hotel service)

My energy bar is fully filled again for work. And I am waiting for the time passing to welcome his turn to visit me in HK early next year.

{Self} Changings after 27-year-old

1. Less hang out at night. I will rather stay at home to have a rest instead of going out for fun with friends (Yet I will watch football match at home at 2:30am…).

2. Have much time with family. Time is passing by and not gonna come back, treasure every moment with the closed one is very important (Mobile is not the VIP).

3. Have much quality life. When I could earn much money from work, I prefer to choose the most desirable to buy and eat, and to have a few mins exercise on bed before sleep.

4. Satisfied for what I got. Minimalism is classy, and then check my wardrobe and think there’s pretty much enough clothes to wear and I’m not gonna buy more now.

5. Check about the wedding-related post in instagram. What a beautiful dress and venue. My wedding will go for the simpliest! A lunch cocktail party, then a fine dinner with only our family, then in the next morning we both go to honeymoon.

6. Think about future career, then to decide if the current company could provide you any prospert. I quitted my job and will start a new one next Thursday!

{self} naked resignation

Previously, I told you guys that I am gonna change a new job, but then after working there for a month, I decided to resign.

Although people would think it is a big company and I should stay there for longer time to get the experience and to make my CV attractive, I could bare the poor sleeping quality during that period. I think nothing is important than health.
Therefore, I filed the resignation letter without finding a job to junp over.

Mom wasn’t happy when she heard that which I forseen it already, but then I got my boyfriend to support my decision, thanks God!

And then I thought I could excel my resting plan which was planned on August, I started sending CV out to various companies and agencies however, which because I fear that I might not be able to get a job in the year end- Everyone is waiting for the bonus.
Throughout the whole week I sent the CV and went to interviews, like an intensive work for 5 weekdays, feel tired physically and psychologically…

Luckily, I got an offer today, it is the 7th working day from my last working day, and expected to start working next Wednesday (Nov 1).

During this job hunting period:

1. Want to thank you my closed friend for the support psychologically, something I told him before but when the case is on me, I become the one to be coward.

2. Realize one of the securities that I need is job, so I might not have a 2nd chance to have naked resignation.

3. Always be confident and bring positive vibe to your heart, not to affect the emotion of people surrounding you, especially family. I felt impatient when mom kept asking me questions…

4. Spend the spare time with my dad, who has retired. Once I back to work market, he would just stay at home to prepare for dinner or sit onto sofa to watch videos via mobile haha!

Rock on you guys! And me as well. Hope you all could try to enjoy your work.

{relationship} How do I deal with long distance relationship

I have been in LDR for a year, and so comfortable with him (He feels the same too!), so I think I could share some my experience to whom are in LDR as well.

#1- Clear mindset. Before you are in LDR, pls understand your partner can’t be anytime and anywhere you want. Don’t expect he/she will hug you when you are down, otherwise you guys will argue a lot.

#2- Communicating pattetn. We usually have video chat once a week, and five ‘Good morning’ msg on weekday to start our work. For weekend, we might just shut up or only for something essential to say, just like a personal free time. Also it’s important to tell him why you are mad at him, communication time is so valuable to us, can’t be wasted!

#3- Meet up in every 3-4 months.

#4- Learn the language. My partner is a Filipino, so I’m learning Tagalog, just a way to understand his world, and to make use my free time.

#5- Surprise. I sent him postcard when I was in Singapore, and sent him a parcel which I ordered from Selfridges to kill his pimple scar (But actualy it’s no longer a surprise because he got a SMS that a DHL parcel is coming and he’s scared because he didn’t order anything online haha! And then he asked me… It’s a funny memory tho).

Tomorrow I’m gonna catch the flight ticket for November, see the date, it’s just for a night!!! I never try to take a flight just for that short trip… But what to do? He is much important. I hope we could meet again in X’mas so I won’t cry like a dog… Wish me luck (Finger-crossed!)

{relationship} 1-year anniversary

Dear Alien,
I remember the night we met on the plane last year, we had a great and non-stop conversation for 4 hours, we both got red eyes after landed.

I remember the night we chatted on phone, talking about the attitude after knowing my sister smoke, I told you she is well educated and should know the harm, but you told me it’s her choice.

I remember the night I phoned you for 4 times but you didn’t pick up, and finally you blocked me on Facebook, I was hurted, deeply.

I remember the night I sent an email to you to ask for being friend again and you said OK then I was glad to keep the connection.

I remember the night I took a flight after work and met you in the airport, you holded my hand, and I’m yours.
Yes we are in a long distance relationship.

Yes we may not be able to be upload our sweet selfie and have tight hug frequently, but we could always make each other 101% fully charged to start our day and fighting on our work.
Tomorrow will be our 1-year birthday, we are looking forward to seeing this baby grow up. You may afriad of you become a grandpa who has bad temper, memory, and with wrinkles on face, but I cannot find anyone who can replace you, my best gift in life.

I know we might have much challenge than others, but I am confidence to tackle one by one because you are with me and I’m with you.
Love,

{relationship} daddy

I’m getting closer with dad when I was studying in the university, maybe at that moment I found dad is getting older and I should spend more time with him, to make happier moment with each other so to prevent I will be regret.

He is a traditional dad, which means doesn’t express himself much to us, but his hard-work provides my family a good shelter, until now, he cooks and does some housework for us haha! Mom could be lazy a bit when dad is retired, and I’m so proud of him having a good health and strong vitality as he’s tuning 70 year-old tomorrow! I bet you guys will think he’s just 60 while meeting him!

SONY DSC

Every year I will go travelling with dad once, so he could be able to explore the places other than stuck in HK (We have been to Taipei, Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai. Time to think about the place outside Asia haha!).

Besides travelling, I will bring him to have different nice restaurants wherever it’s McDonald or some mid-level pricing western restaurants in HK!

And of course, my tone when talking to him becomes a little girl somehow (just imagine when you were talking to your boyfriend). As a little girl, I always share with him fruit secretly because I dislike fruit but mom forces me to eat a bowl of fruit every single day!

Last but not the least, happy birthday daddy! Wish you have a good health and stay with us forever 🙂

[self] job changing

When you feel your work is no longer making your life meaningful but somehow sick of it while getting on the train to office, it’s definitely time to move on.

I’ve worked for this company for 4 years and that’s the first job after graduation, I have set a target for myself to switch a new job within this year on this April, and then I made it- I filed the resignation letter to boss on mid September.

As I have worked there for 4 years, it’s kind of a comfort zone as boss and colleagues are so nice to me (you could see the below pic which we had a farewell lunch together on my last day), and I am familiar with the clients that I dealt with, and that’s why I need to be brave enough and determined to make this decision, after filed the letter to boss, I’m walking to a new route for my life (even if boss was trying to persuade me to stay, I’m not that kind of person who could retrieve my decision. Stubborn? Nah I think once you got the idea of quitting, you won’t stay long or work with fully passionate heart and soul).

Of course, before I filed the letter, I did the below things so to rationalize my decision:

  1. Prepared well on my CV and linkedin profile.
  2. Went to few interviews so to know my market value and what kind of job I might have a chance to get in the future. Of courise I have set my target job / company nature before sending out the CV, I weren’t urge to get a new job.
  3. Set a deadline for myself to file the letter (that’s for my inner self to prepare what to say to boss, and to force myself to finalize the decision). At last I filed the letter after 2 weeks of the deadline.

dimsum

PS- So I’ve achieved 2 goals by September 2017! One is to get a ‘good’ grade for German A1 level exam, another one is to change a new job. Have you guys achieved any goals? Let’s rock on to build up a productive and meaningful lifetime for our own!

[travel] friend meet-up overseas

recently i’ve cleaned some ‘friend’ on facebook who i no longer talk with, because i found it’s quite wasting my time to see their newsfeed… i don’t need much friend but i would definitely treasure who is special in my life, or could bring my some insight.

i have met my 1st foreign friend when i was visiting an aquariums in busan, south korea in 2013, she is a singaporean and we have lost contact for almost a year, and then one day she messaged me in viber and told she was busy after she moved from myanmar back to singapore, and then we decided to have a 2nd meet up, right after 4 years.

we met up at 8:45am in china town mrt station, while my dad and sis were still sleeping in the hotel. she brought me to one of the local hawker centre (yes i love to eat local food although i love mcdonald as well haha), she is sooo kind she paid me the breakfast and iced long black tho these are not expensive, i’m really appreciate that she doesn’t really know me but still do that for me! and even she bought me a diary book!

SONY DSC

i really love talking to foreign people and would love to make friend with them because i could know more what’s going on with the other countries, not by google nor facebook, you don’t need to worry about the truthiness of the info. we even discussed the chinese people in singapore.

although we just have a short meet-up, i really enjoy the moment of re-union and i believe she does too! distance isn’t really matter if we both have the determination to keep the friendship, right?

[travel] the colors in singapore

singapore, although it’s a very small country, you can’t deny its own vitality! last week, i went there to have a relaxation with dad and lil sis, and found singapore is really colorful, it isn’t a dull business country, but with a sense of ‘old soul’ inside its heart. its diversity of the people living there, the religion, the culture, and building, makes it not look weird when the new matches with the old.

people always say it doesn’t need to take much time to travel to singapore because it is so small, i agree that before i went there, but i think i needa have my 2nd time there, to spend more time to the place i didn’t spend much time with, like little india (due to hot weather, and my less preparation on this trip). my friend told me my photography skill looks better (hey! i haven’t used my sony dsrl for a year!!), nah it’s just because the place is beautiful and make people so easy to take good pics.

[travel] singapore airline

we all know that singapore airline is one of the best airlines among the world: good quality of service, food, inflight entertainment & spacious seats. last year i took singapore airline from hk to perth (transfer in singapore), i experienced its good, and therefore few days ago i took this airline again to singapore with dad! i decided to let him feel how good an airline can be (we took budget flight from hk to seoul last year, seats are crowd, no food and entertainment during 4-hr journey).

hot towel- before the plane took off, flight attendants gave us the hot towel to clean our hands as usual. warning: it’s very very hot! almost threw mine onto the magazine.

welcome drinks- i thought it was apple juice but turned out it’s white beer. that’s totally fine, one pls!

56

meal- pls pick night flight if possible, you could get some nuts & ice-cream! and i do think the dinner is much attractive than the brunch. the below pic is showing my dinner: nice fish, nice wheat bread, nice chicken (on top of the salad)! for the breakfast that i had was some dim sum… but it really depends on your luck, popular dishes always be sold out fast!

57

entertainment- of course you would expect there must be a front monitor for you to watch movies, tv or play games. and this time i watched ‘boss baby’ & ‘gifted’. quite updated, right? but bad luck for my dad, his monitor may have some problem which he can’t watch movies 😦

any cons? i don’t want this sharing could become a kind of advertisement, i wanna have a lil complaint, but it’s really very personal- i’m not sure if it’s true but most of the transfer point set in singapore! i would love to take this airline to manila to visit my bf but it costs more time if i need to go to singapore first then back to manila! arrrrrgh! and that’s why i could only consider airasia / cebu pacific (not going to consider cathy pacific because the seat seems are similar to these 2 budget flights, right?) and can’t save my krisflyer points!

but i’m not going to point out the price of singapore airline is expensive because you can get worthy service with smile on flight attendants’ face, try it once if you have a longer journey, treat yourself better!

ps, people always say qatar & emirate are good, maybe i should try these if i get a chance to germany!
